The EU Declaration of Conformity—also known as the CE Certificate—is the official safety passport of a machine. The manufacturer must sign this document, thereby declaring that the machine, assembly of machines, or installation complies with the Machinery Regulation and all applicable European directives.
When supplying machines within the European Union—and additionally to Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Iceland—it is mandatory to provide both an EU Declaration of Conformity and a CE marking.
